One of the largest car manufacturers in China declared prices for the Great Wall Haval H5 SUV, which is a restyled version of the previous model. The new version of the car was presented recently at the Beijing International Motor Show this year.
Specialists primarily note the easily recognized exterior of the model, which was modernized by an all -like radiator grille from a car from Mazda from Japan.
In addition, a change in massive front bumper with round fog lights is striking, as well as a new rombo -shaped optics of head light. All other elements remind of the “origin” of the SUV. As for the size of the Great Wall Haval H5, here the automakers did not “invent the bicycle”: the length of the car increased by only three centimeters to 4 650 mm, the wheelbase remained the same with indicators of 2,700 and 1,800 mm, respectively, the height increased the same way slightly – only 30 mm up to 1,745 mm. The total weight of the model without passengers and cargo was about 1,830 kg.
A choice for a buyer in the heart of the car “beats” 4 power units: 122 and 150 horsepower on a gasoline engine, and 109 or 150 horsepower on diesel engines. In addition, potential buyers of the Great Wall Haval H5 model will be involved in the choice of gearbox: this is either a 5-speed mechanics or a 4-step-step automatic. From the point of view of the company’s specialists, the SUV will be able to cover a fairly wide market volume, which will increase demand. This is also evidenced by the price of Great Wall Haval, which varies in the Chinese market in the range from 19 thousand to 25, 5 thousand US dollars, depending on the configuration and additional options. The cost of the export option to Europe or Russia is not yet known.
Experts note that the updated Great Wall model was the first SUV from China to be able to pass the European Union, which means that he received the right to export to the European Union. Perhaps after that the quality of cars from the Celestial Empire will improve significantly and the companies will become full -fledged competitors of European budget giants. The HAVAL model can be a real breakthrough in this regard.
