When the public was presented with a photo of the new generation of Maserati Quattroporte sedan, nothing was reported about the engines. The most justified forecast was seen that the modernized version of the Ferrari V8 4, 7 engine, developing up to 530 horsepower would be installed on the machine, but everything turned out to be wrong.
Engines for Maserati Quattroporte will be offered two and both are by no means atmospheric, as the mentioned Ferrari motor, but with two turbines and direct fuel injection. The first motor is a three -liter V6 that can develop the power of 410 horsepower. Will be placed both on mono- and on the all-wheel drive version of Maserati Quattroporte. With all -wheel drive, this engine accelerates the car from 0 to 100 km / h in 4, 9 seconds, and the maximum speed is 284 km / h.
The second engine is V8, with a volume of 3, 8 liters. Its power is 530 horsepower and allows the car to accelerate 0 to 100 km / h in 4, 7 seconds, at a maximum speed of 307 km / h.
Motors are magnificent, but if the expected Ferrari V8 were left, the car would also drive with a characteristic sound.
