Why are delfs considered the center of the Earth in Greece
It was a time when the great empires arose at the request of the gods, powerful states were created, cultural centers were founded and grandiose structures were erected, which amaze the imagination of modern man. This is how the delfs appeared – the center of spirituality and religion, the center of the whole world.
It is no coincidence that the delfs were assigned to the center of the planet. According to one legend, once Zeus, the king of the Olympic gods, decided to find out where the center of the Earth is located. Zeus took two powerful eagles and released each of them from different sides – from the west and east. Proud birds flew over the whole earth and met over the dolphs. At the place where there were a meeting of two eagles-travelers, Zeus established an omphal, a sacred monument called the “navel of the earth”, which is a circle and symbolizes the sun.
