Geographical and historical features of the Riviera
French Riviera The famous coast of the Mediterranean Sea in France, is located east of the city of TULON and covers the entire coast to the Italian border. In 1834, the famous English lord was forced to stay in a small fishing village on the Mediterranean coast with the name Cannes, since then this is a favorite place for the winter rest of the English aristocracy.
A little later, the coast acquired the second, no less popular name, which inadvertently flew from the lips of the French writer and poet, fascinated by the amazing beauty of the bay and wrote the novel of the same name “Cote d’Azur”. French Riviera are frequent and popular phrases among tourists from around the world.
