How the Sandinist revolution influenced the future of Nicaragua
The insulating policy of the United States undermined the already shaken economy of Nicaragua, almost completely destroying the country’s infrastructure, and forced to leave their homes and look for a shelter in neighboring countries. The armed conflict ended only in 1990, the efforts of political figures of all the parties to the parties.
The revolution left an indelible imprint not only in the history of Nicaragua, but the entire Central American region. The country has not yet recovered after the destructive civil war, being one of the poorest (after Haiti) countries of the region. The level of illiteracy of the population is also one of the highest in Central America.
In connection with the recent military events and a negative way of the state, Nicaragua represents the minimum tourist attractiveness in the eyes of the world community, which also negatively affects the economic situation of the country.
