The Czech Skoda Auto Concert, which is currently owned by the German company Volkswagen Group, plans to launch 15 new models on the market for the next 5 years. It is also curious that only 2 of them, Skoda Citigo and Skoda Rapid, will be created on the old PQ database, the rest will be developed on the new Volkswagen platform, which the leadership of the concern announced to reporters.
Thanks to the new Modularen Querbauukasten platform with the transverse location of the engine, the new Skoda models will become about 20% cheaper. The management plans that next year the first Skoda Rapid sedans will appear on the market, already sold for several months in the automotive market of India, as well as the rastling Skoda Yeti and Skoda Citigo in the version with the 5th doors.
Already in 2013, the Rapid Spaceback station wagon and the restyled version of Superb Combi will be released.
A year later, a new generation of hatchbacks and universals of Skoda Fabia, as well as successors of some other models that are currently sold at the moment, will appear.
In 2015, new generations of Superb and Yeti will appear on the market.
In 2016, they will join the new crossover and Mikroven, as well as a new version of the Rapid and Citigo car. In the same year, a fairly large Skoda SUV and minivan should appear, which was announced by the head of the technical development department of Echard Sholts. He also noted that this will not be a converted version of the existing Volkswagen model, namely unique platforms and cars.
